Chalk Art for World No Tobacco Day
2014 World No Tobacco Day is Saturday,31st May. You have a few months to get ideas, chalk and perhaps stencils together. Chalk Art , making a statement about tobacco right there on the footpath is a gentle way to get message across to smokers- "Be gentle and you can be bold" The global response and diversity of approaches to Art Toppling Tobacco has been extraordinary and hope it continues with our great artists and the most humble all involved in the push to educate from individual points of view. No matter your talent, you can do something- it may be as simple as getting somebody to help you whose handwriting has eye appeal. Remember to photograph it and send to the site. Be bold and send to your local paper, library or school. It is wanted that councils around Australia give permission for chalk art on World No Tobacco Day. Oh yes, councils around the world whatever they are called in other countries. Councils could consider commissioning chalk artists as a lead up to World No Tobacco Day in May. O
